Tween Book Club: "Love that Dog" by Sharon Creech
Readers entering grades 4–6 are invited to join us for Tween Book Club on Monday, June 30 at 3 PM at Metro Coffee Co.–Downtown. This month we’re reading Love That Dog by Sharon Creech, a heartfelt and accessible novel in verse about a boy named Jack who discovers the power of poetry and the emotions it can express—even when he insists he’s not a poet. Told through Jack’s journal entries, this short but powerful story is perfect for sparking discussion and creativity. Each participant will receive a free drink, courtesy of the Friends of the Library. Pick up your free copy of the book in the Children’s Department while supplies last.
