Tween Book Club: "Howl's Moving Castle" by Diana Wynn Jones

Tween Book Club: "Howl's Moving Castle" by Diana Wynn Jones

Calling all readers in grades 4–6! Join us for November’s Tween Book Club on Monday, November 24 at 4 PM in the Crawford Room, where we’ll be reading and discussing the magical classic Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones.

Tween Book Club is a fun and welcoming monthly gathering for upper elementary students who love books, adventure, and sharing ideas with other readers. Each month, we dive into a new title—sometimes fantasy, sometimes realistic fiction, always engaging—and spend an hour chatting, laughing, and connecting over great stories.

This month’s pick, Howl’s Moving Castle, introduces us to Sophie Hatter, a young woman who’s been cursed by a wicked witch and transformed into an old lady. In her quest to break the spell, Sophie finds herself in the moving castle of the mysterious and dramatic wizard Howl. What follows is a whirlwind tale of magic, mischief, and self-discovery in a fantastical world full of surprises.

Pick up your free copy of the book at the Library and come ready to discuss your favorite spells, characters, and castle rooms! For more information, call 577.7323 or visit our website. We can’t wait to read with you!
