Tween Book Club: "Wishtree" by Katherine Applegate

Tween Book Club: "Wishtree" by Katherine Applegate

Join us for Tween Book Club on Monday, January 26 at 4:00 PM in the Crawford Room at the Library as we discuss "Wishtree" by Katherine Applegate.

In "Wishtree," a kind-hearted oak tree named Red has watched generations of people hang wishes on her branches, hoping for dreams big and small to come true. When a new family moves into the neighborhood and faces unkind treatment, Red and the other animals who call the tree home come together to show how small acts of kindness, courage, and community can make a powerful difference. This moving and hopeful story explores themes of empathy, belonging, and standing up for others.

Tween Book Club is a monthly discussion group for students in grades 4-6 who enjoy sharing their thoughts about books in a fun and welcoming environment. Participants can pick up a free copy of the book at the Library beforehand while supplies last.
