Afterschool @ the Library: Catapult Bowling

Students in grades K–6 are invited to join us for Afterschool @ the Library on Wednesday, March 18 at 4 PM in the Crawford Room for an afternoon of creative building and friendly competition with Catapult Bowling.

In this hands-on activity, kids will build their own mini catapults using popsicle sticks and rubber bands, then put their engineering skills to the test by launching ping pong balls to knock down bowling pin targets.

Along the way, students will explore simple physics concepts like force and motion while designing, testing, and improving their catapults. Whether they are aiming for a strike or just enjoying the building process, this program encourages creativity, problem-solving, and a little bit of playful experimentation.

All materials are provided, and no preparation is needed.
