Who Do We Want To Be? Building Community After an Election
Join us for "Who Do We Want To Be? Building Community After an Election," a special Living Room Conversation series happening throughout October as we approach the election. With feedback from community members expressing anxiety and unease across the political spectrum, this series offers a space to talk through feelings, share concerns, and create a plan for how we, as a community, can respond constructively—regardless of the election results. Together, we’ll work towards building a stronger, more connected community.
Facilitated by Casper College scholars Cara Rodriguez and Julia Whyde, this series will encourage open dialogue, foster understanding, and provide tools for moving forward with unity. These conversations are part of a national effort through Living Room Conversations, a structured format designed to bring people with differing perspectives together to talk about important issues in a way that builds relationships and strengthens communities. These sessions emphasize listening, understanding, and respect, helping participants bridge divides in a meaningful way.
In partnership with Wyoming Humanities and Casper College Goodstein Library, this free program will take place at two local venues:
- Evening Sessions (6:30 PM): Held at Gruner Brothers Brewing (Oct 12, Oct 23)
- Morning Sessions (10 AM): Held at coffee shops in downtown Casper (Oct 8, Oct 19, Oct 24)
Space is limited and registration is required to ensure a seat. No meals will be provided at these events. Call 577.7323 for more information or sign up below to secure your spot in this important conversation series.
