Join us for the Library's Creative Aging series, a unique opportunity for individuals 55+ to explore the intersection of art, culture, and tradition while fostering personal growth and community connection. From January 9 through February 27, every Thursday from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, we’ll embark on a journey of creativity and cultural preservation.

This Winter’s Feature: Crowning Glory - Yemenite Jewish Embroidery

Under the expert guidance of certified embroidery teacher India Hayford, this eight-week course dives into the intricate world of Yemenite Jewish Embroidery. Participants will learn traditional and Israeli Yemenite embroidery techniques to create personalized, stunningly designed headscarves inspired by traditional gargush headgear. The program includes:

• Hands-on instruction in embroidery design and stitching techniques.
• Opportunities to examine physical and photographic examples of historical garments.
• A welcoming environment for both beginners and continuing students.

All materials will be provided.
