Bumble Bee Conservation

Bumble Bee Conservation

Did you know that Wyoming is home to a rich variety of native bumble bees, each playing a vital role in our ecosystems and food systems? Join us for a fascinating evening dedicated to the unsung heroes of the pollinator world: bumble bees.

Presented by the Xerces Society, this educational program will introduce you to the diversity, life cycle, and unique characteristics of bumble bees, as well as the threats they face and the practical steps you can take to support their survival. Learn how native bees differ from honey bees, why they matter, and how you can make a difference—right from your own backyard.

You'll also be invited to participate in the Bumble Bee Atlas, a community science initiative aimed at documenting native bumble bee populations across Wyoming.

This presentation is open to all ages and includes printed resources to take home. Come be inspired, informed, and empowered to protect one of nature’s most important pollinators.
