Writing from What You Know: A Workshop & Author Talk with India Hayford
Join us for an inspiring evening with naturalist, author, and Wyoming local India Hayford, celebrating her Southern Gothic debut, The Song of the Blue Bottle Tree. During this special event, Hayford will lead a creative workshop titled “Beyond the Revenge Novel: Incorporating Personal Experience and Familiar Locations into Fiction Without Making It All About You.”
Attendees will enjoy a short reading and discussion on the role of setting in fiction, with special focus on her novel's deeply rooted Southern backdrop. You’ll also have the chance to participate in a creative circle, generating story ideas drawn from personal memories and familiar places.
Books will be available for purchase courtesy of Wind City Books, and India will be signing copies after the event.
