Log on at 2:00 PM MDT on Tuesday, July 8 for a fun and engaging 30-minute session with Raúl the Third, author and illustrator of ¡Vamos! Let’s Go Read! Follow Little Lobo and his friends as they explore their library’s Libro Love Book Festival—complete with cooking demos, comic workshops, mask-making, and more! Raúl will share how his upbringing on the U.S.–Mexico border has shaped his unique storytelling and illustration style.

This event will include:

• A live reading and conversation with the author
• A collaborative draw-along activity (bring paper and drawing tools!)
• Creative inspiration for students to explore their own world through art

About the Author: Raúl the Third is a New York Times bestselling author, illustrator, and three-time Pura Belpré Award winner. His work centers on the contemporary Mexican-American experience and childhood memories of El Paso, Texas, and Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. He is currently adapting his World of ¡Vamos! books into an animated television series with Silvergate Media and Mercury Filmworks.
