What happens when we sit down together to talk—not to debate, but to understand? Join us for a unique Living Room Conversation on Cancel Culture: Free Speech and Accountability on Tuesday, November 18 at 6:30 PM at Scarlow’s Art & Coffee.

In partnership with Wyoming Humanities, Scarlow’s Art & Coffee, and Natrona County Library, this community conversation will explore how modern technology, social media, and public scrutiny influence free speech and accountability in our society. What does it mean to be “canceled”? How do we balance free expression with consequences? And how does our digital world reshape the ways we communicate, respond, and judge?

Facilitated by Cara Rodriguez and Julia Whyde from Casper College, this small-group discussion will follow the Living Room Conversations format—a nationally recognized model designed to foster curiosity, connection, and respectful dialogue. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on their own experiences with expression and accountability, listen to different perspectives, and explore how these issues affect individuals, communities, and culture at large.

This free event is open to the public. Space is limited – register to attend. Light refreshments and small bites will be served.
