Never Too Old Book Club is a monthly discussion group for teens and adults who enjoy reading and talking about young adult and crossover nonfiction together. Teen and adult pairings are especially encouraged, making this a wonderful opportunity for families, mentors, or friends of different ages to share a book and conversation. The club offers a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and thoughtful discussion in one of our favorite local coffee shop settings.

This month, we'll be discussing "Rebellion 1776" by Laurie Halse Anderson. In the spring of 1776, 13 year old Elsbeth Culpepper wakes to the sound of cannons. Caught in the middle of the patriots' drive to push out the loyalists, Elsbeth finds herself in the center of the Siege of Boston. Her father disappears in the chaos, and she is left alone, adrift in a desolate and broken city while fighting to stay out of the orphanage. As a smallpox epidemic sweeps through Boston, things go from bad to worse. Amid the panic, Elsbeth valiantly continues the search for her father.
