Tween Book Club & Author Visit: "The Hope of Elephants" by Amanda Rawson Hill

Tween Book Club & Author Visit: "The Hope of Elephants" by Amanda Rawson Hill

Tweens in grades 4–6, get ready for an extra special Tween Book Club on Monday, February 24 at 4 PM! This month, we’re not just discussing The Hope of Elephants by Amanda Rawson Hill—we’re welcoming the author herself for an exciting visit and chat.

The Hope of Elephants is a moving story about twelve-year-old Cass, whose father carries a genetic mutation that puts him at risk of developing cancer—and she may carry it too. As she grapples with her fears and hopes, Cass discovers resilience, love, and the power of finding joy even in the hardest moments. Nominated for the 2024–25 Indian Paintbrush Book Award, this heartwarming tale is one you won’t want to miss.

Pick up your free copy of the book at the Children’s desk in early February while supplies last. Amanda Rawson Hill’s visit is free and open to the public, welcoming readers and fans of all ages (even those who are no longer tweens!). No registration required—just bring your enthusiasm and creativity (and maybe a friend!).

Call 577-7323 for more information. We can’t wait to see you there!
